You mean rap in general or all genres? I mean I think it got over praised because mainstream rap is in a huge decline quality wise and it was an above average album from a legendary group. It wouldn't touch my top 10 rap albums this decade and I haven't even dug that deep like some others itt. In terms of all genres it's nowhere near the best imo but again, pretty solid overall

In terms of commercial rap which is a commercial genre. In terms of a comeback record in general. In terms of pure rapping.

I don't need to qualify it. It's a great record. Doesn't mean it needs to be in your top 10. There's bullshit I love I wouldn't expect anyone else to f*** with. I'm just asking what delivered more

Yeah it’s very good, but I also wasn’t blown away. There’s some tracks that just went in one ear and out the other, but it’s generally pretty consistent. Also, I’ve just been away from new rap for so long, that it takes some time to re-acclimate myself to it.

What version of Bully should I listen to? There’s a deluxe with a few extra tracks.

Knowing you, you would probably like the first demo version. The final version has a bunch of solid newer songs with beefier production though. Great album imo.

Not exactly. The high note peak of All The Love doesn't get as high on the new version and I'll take that moment over non Ye-I vocals.

Brothers and Sisters doesn't sound as badass on the deluxe. The mix focused more on the bass than the buzz and I don't like it as much.

That Nirosta Steel album that came out is a nightmare for my OCD. I have this need to organize everything by date, and a compilation of material over 40 years is impossible to sort through.

for stuff like that I sometimes will add the recording year of each song into the title. agree it still ends up unwieldy though
