i have no beef with Philly but I hate how everybody last year acted like JB was legitimately a top 5 player vs being on an incredibly coached team and his only job was to score in isolation at a decent rate and efficiency and nothing elseI'm super high on Maxey and obviously healthy Embiid is a killer but I fear if Philly does great this year it will give continued praise towards JB
i don’t got a problem with JB, I think he’s a quality player and an obvious step up from Paul George. The East is a tricky thing to evaluate imo and it’s Phillys way of making a legit move. I liked the move for Boston. Less years on the contract, and even though he's older than JB, PG is better for their offense and defense. He's still a very good, switchable wing defender and won't be expected to carry an offensive load. JB was a consistent ball stopper and Boston was almost always better without him on the court. PG is adaptable enough to not have that problem and can easily be a spot-up shooter, screener, or cutter.

I think their success hinges on how big of a year 2 leap VJ makes. If he can improve his handle and shot creation that’ll be a deadly backcourt

I think the worst tactic in any sport is to 'pray' that you hold a lead instead of continuing to play the game that got you the lead. Going with more defenders after just 1 goal and 40 minutes left is some brain dead management

Yeah it's not always bad if can actually shut up shop. I just watched Arsenal win the league and nearly the champions league by being very good at holding on to a lead. But England don't have the defense to be able to do it well, and you have to be able to offer something going in the other direction. He completely f***ed it with every sub, really bad
