FellaI meant “normal” enough. It still has a foot in popular music, which provides different expectations. Like the songs have a digestible shape, but don’t all lead to satisfying places. There’s this weird sort of insinuation within music circles that you’re meant to love all forms of the medium, rather than develop a particular pallet. For example, I’m never going to connect with The Fall, and I’m not doing anything wrong because of that.
You don't have to tell me lol I'm the one always hating on legendary bands and entire genres I don't dig.
I definitely think every song on SAM is at least 8 or 9/10 and all go to satisfying places within the parameters of popular music at the time.
