It's so watchably bad. All the Yeezus merch, pretending to be drunk, the awful blurring effects

I love the ending with the man side eyeing him pretending to eat a burger with a Yeezus ski mask on

The Yeezus merch such a bad choice Why would he do that

  • Atliens has nothing as bad as Mamacita. One of the biggest flubs ever on a supposed 'all time' rap album

Its bad but it definitely could have been worse. The way everyone instantly clowned it is really what made it look awful (and hilarious) lmao

It's better than I remembered. It's shot reasonably well and the video quality holds up for 12+ year old fanmade content. It's just goofy as hell

I'm boring. I will always take MBDTF and Aquemini over Yeezus and Stankonia.

im a sucker for futuristic production

Yeezus is more retro 90s than true future but he's talented enough to pull from so many sounds and decades to make it sound timeless

Different strokes. I just don't see this chasm between atliens and aquemini that folks see. Sure, the latter has the musical chops to back it up but I keep coming back to the former at any time. I gotta be in the mood for aquemini.

Atliens was a quantum leap from Southerplayalistic as well and was bursting with ideas but Aquenmini took those ideas from their amorphic state and harnessed them into flawlessness

  • Galaxy de list mon

Plus Andre actually bothered to show up for every track on Atliens

Yeah bruh, I love atliens so much because of that. Big Boi doing his thing too, seeing them in sync as a duo

Yeah there are some genuinely nice shots and smooth transitions in it to be some random fan made thing. But him just awkwardly walking in circles on that busy sidewalk and s***... Good lord.

It's their peak as a duo even though I prefer Stankonia for its space-funk out of this world production

there a slight retro tinge on a few things I guess but it still sounds incredibly edgy to me. and it takes a mad genius (who may have been mike dean) to concoct something as out-there and amoebic as Hold My Liquor

The "i heard you need a new fad" bridge and kanye's "a newww" ad libs definitely among favorite moments of his discog.

Hot take...I don't think Aquemini is flawless 😬

I learned that he originally didn't have Hold My Liquor on the final tracklist but was convinced by somebody to include it at the final hour.

    Bless that person

Not a hot take imo, Aquemini is one of the 5 most overrated hip hop albums

Humble Mumble, Toilet Tisha and Stanklove on side two is what pushes it ahead of Aquemini for me

Happened again with "Waves" on TLOP

Crazy how some of these last minute additions end up defining an album/band. Can't think of Black Sabbath Paranoid without the title track. Or Thriller without the 4 emergency additions.

    Same with Waves on Pablo
