Kinks by miles what the f*** is this Beatles song

They're the most uplifting, life affirming songs from either band for me.

I can imagine the Beatles one sounding pretty goofy to you though. Lennon's vocal shreds, Paul's bassline slaps, Georges riff masterpiece

I like some Beatles but they dont hit me at my core or anything

Here Comes the Sun is a good one. I think I like George Harrison the most

Yeah George had the strongest tunes by the end. Insane how rapidly he progressed.

Overall I'm definitely a John guy. One of the best, most textured rock and roll voices ever. Funniest lyrics, most structurally interesting songs, most devastating melodic instincts. Love that guy.

I dont really get the Lennon > Liam connection. Like at all. Liam is a million times cooler imo

Elliott Smith loved George tho and that I get

I think it largely boils down to this song and how Liam pinched John's pronunciation of "sun sheeeeine" lol. John definitely cool and was a funny f***er (I know Liam has funny tweets but he ain't as witty as Lennon).

I can definitely see the influence but I'm just not a Beatles kid I guess. Oasis is so much better to me lmao

  • I would love to meet Liam in a pub and tell him Lennon sucked just to see his reaction

Yeah again I can't really compare bands that were multiple generations removed from each other. Oasis was doing battle with Pulp, Verve and Suede and it was a glorious era, really hard to declare any of them the clear best.

And i know you're a 90s rock guy at heart. Im definitely 50s-80s guy. Mainly 60s though.
