Think I only seen two Ari movies and yea I don’t see the greatness either. I know they were comparing him with Eggs but from an aesthetic standpoint he towers over Aster

Agree that the last few years of doing Joker and Aster films has been a waste of his talent.
He's got more classics than those though. Inherent Vice, Her and Sisters Brothers are amazing. Watch them asap.
The Village, Walk The Line, To Die For and Napoleon are excellent. Maybe The Immigrant and We Own The Night as well. Been a long time since I've seen them.

Aster definitely a f***in dweeb but he did cast queen Flo so he's not all bad. Midsommar his only decent flick.
If you want to hate him more though look up The Strange Thing About The Johnsons
