When I saw that earlier, I was going to say the same thing. It reminded me of those huge year-end lists that the Quietus used to do where it would be like 300 albums that you had never heard of.

Although I am not sure how much me being out of touch with recent music releases has to do with that lol

that Treaty Oak Revival band dropped a new album on Friday and it absolutely bangs. Sounds like they really lean into mixing midwest emo and grunge/alt rock into their outlaw country sound.

First stretch of 7 songs is banger after banger.

@Galaxy - you may dig them some too tbh since you're a big fan of The Hotelier and Sun Valley Gun Club and this country rock band is fusing stuff that gives off the same vibes into a lot of the new album

felt this a year or so ago.. but red dirt emo is gonna have its time in the spot light heavy. they really perfected it with this album tbh. legit like country mobo in the highest praises; blue star could easily be on youre gonna miss it all lmao.. just missing the pop culture drops. the muscadine song goes so hard, and the outro is hilarious

That Geese album is pretty nice. The vocalist and cacophony sound remind me a lot of Dirty Projectors' Glad Fact which i will always welcome more of

Spot on. I listened to their first two albums a while back and there was definitely a bit of it on those but they felt overall more "modern outlaw". But this new one is like they really found their style cause its so good
