What type of paint are you using?
The same you did with your last job or a special kind?

more or less the same for the walls but the set painter/plasterer/scenic painters all do a vast assortment of jobs that regular residential/commercial painters dont. I was learning a whole new thing every day. how to make walls look old instead of my brand new. how to skim plaster, concretes, spray texture etc. barely did any normal painting.
a buddy pulled some strings to get me in as a plasterer (didnt actually do much plastering) which is higher wage than set painter but not as much as scenic. I definitely wanna get into scenic not just cause higher pay but cause they do the really interesting stuff that people actually notice.

lol im at the bottom the union seniority ladder and its gonna be a long time till im actually making big moves but its still a cool and unexpected pivot for me

Good for you
Looks like I start on the set for the new Social Network spinoff this weekend, Social Reckoning

Learning distinct skills like that has so much crossover in the job market too man.
Like the whole thing about you learning how to make something look believably old/worn... My dad helps manage a huge wholesale company that sells all kinds of consumer goods, but they are known for their random "antique" home decor trinkets and furniture that is new but goes through various processes to legitimately look 100+ years old.
There's a billion dollar industry just of businesses selling new things that are made to look old — and another billion dollar industry for selling old things that are made to look modern.
I'm sure you have no plans to let go of this dream job you landed, but if something ever happened and you found yourself looking for work, you'll have a ton of transferable skills from working on sets.
Also 3 stacks literally not being on 2 Aquemini tracks is also huge points against it
Are you including the skit as one of those tracks?
I'm starting to believe that MM >> Low end theory
MM has Award Tour, Steve Biko, and God Lives Through
Stuff that could easily be called their best song
The songs from Low End that are on that level aren't as strong, but Low End front to back is way more consistent to me

There are literally 2 songs back to back without him smack dab in the middle of the album. Slump/West Savannah

P much took a break from reading this year but I’m enjoying East of Eden right now.

Sound too much like leftovers from the debut as well
