Cloud's still my favorite though, especially in the beginning when he's an a******. The remake did a really good job with it. Squall's just an awkward dweeb. Tidus was a doofus but I liked him.

I'd be down for remakes of all of them tbh, seeing as how SquareEnix sucks at writing new stories anyway

Yeah i like them all (maybe not Squall that much, I like Zell and Irvine more). But Zidane overshadows the rest for me. I also like Tidus a good bit (same reasons I like Zell lol).

And I def love to see a remake of VIII and IX both. VIII has an even more open world map than IX too. But i'd kinda want them to "fix" the GF system to where you can't become god-tier in the first hour or so lol — maybe make an "unlimited GF" system as a feature for the New Game+ mode or something
