With all the s*** ass mainstream rap these days I can't imagine complaining about Clipse it's amazing

Push been top 5 for me for like 15 years now though I can't resist that diamond hard diction and razor sharp cadence.

I like it more after a few spins and in the ride. Is it on par with Lord Willin and HHNF, no… but still solid for a mainstream rap album. Tiny Desk was dope too

I think they both sound great but it just ain't quite hitting hard enough. Pharrell has a lot to answer for beyond just his dogshit singing

yeah, the general consensus in that Clipse thread seems to be that Pharrell did great on the boards but I'm not hearing it. It feels very evident Chad Hugo was extremely important to that glossy, intricate, original Neptunes sound. And yeah Pharrell sounds absolutely awful. Push and Malice did their damn thing though.
