Aonuma already said they're not going back to linear Zelda. I'd be happy if they experiment with open air dungeons a bit more and make them more complex. Lightning and Fire Temple on par with older more linear dungeons to me but tbf they are pretty linear by comparison. I might argue I prefer the Lightning Temple's puzzle design to the Spirit Temple of OoT for example. However, Water Temple was way too short even though I liked it (at least the sky islands made up for it), same with the Wind Temple. I want the open air dungeons to be more like the Construct Factory but a bit longer. That was another highlight for me. Def agree on the character switch

I can't even imagine where they could go after TOTK but I highkey want that format applied to a Wind Waker sequel type of game . massive turbulent wide open seas and tons of islands to explore. heavier dose of pirate life.

and to follow up TOTKs depths/land/sky exploration, add a vast underwater ocean world to explore as well
