I guess if you took everybody's rating for a Morgan Wallen album in this thread, the score would be in the negative, but the passionate Wallen Wankers would still get him in the top 30 based on votes
Imagine if we had a bottom ranking list alongside the normal one to give the artists we hate negative points
Imagine if we had a bottom ranking list alongside the normal one to give the artists we hate negative points
that would get toxic and tactical very fast

his Jesus biopic incoming
in to see Mark Rylance as Satan lol
All Hell was in my top 3 most listened albums but tbh it might not be top 10 for me this year
album is like 1/3 too long. Otherwise pretty good

lmfao what
mark rylance is playing 4 versions of satan
he's been editing it since 2019
He's already on mine he's got a masterpiece already (vvitch) and a very good film (lighthouse) and a dud (Northman) but he gets extra points for being contemporary
I agree with what you said about wwitch and lighthouse. I don't think the Northman was a dud, it wasn't his best but still better than 95% of what Hollywood produces. Still not sure if i'll put him on my list though.
vvitch might be my favorite movie of the 2010s tbh
definitely a top 25 film from the 10s.

Damn it's already been more than half a decade since Hidden Life
Getting 4 new Malik in a 6-year period last decade was crazy but now he's stalled out again.
definitely top 5

all American films nice...
just kidding it's a good list I would personally remove no. 3. Knowing how much you like 2001, the twist in interstellar felt exactly like the twist in 2001 but much more contrived.

Yes not surprisingly I relate the most to films that resemble my own culture
the foreign stuff is later in the list
ngl kyary was such an a****** and so obsessed with almost strictly Asian art that it kinda turned me off the whole thing. like I subconsciously don't want to be into anything that that guy was into
yeah I always like Patsy, Hank Sr., Cash, Gram Parsons but over the last few years I got so acclimated so George Jones and Merle Haggard that I could just listen to them all day. you like George?
Yeah george jones is great!

Any Canadian film goats?
East Asian and Indian films been hitting hard af for me for some reason
maybe gonna watch that drive my car movie this weekend
Any Canadian film goats?
Cronenberg the clear king up here
I was not a fan for a long time but Villenueve absolutely crushed Dunes and Blade Runner
as Ponytail pointed out, James Cameron moved to the States when he was pretty young and didnt make any of his films here
surprised you didnt mention Michael Snow lol
Regrettably the top 30 of that pitchfork aoty list is flames
I checked out a lot of stuff you guys mentioned this year and it all just sounded like music that exists. Been waiting ages for Diamond Jubilee to show up on Spotify but it's still not there so I'm just listening on YouTube now and it's blowing me away.
