@Elric
new Eggers film getting pretty great reviews. If Nosferatu somehow turns out to be a masterpiece does Eggers get a place on the directors list
He should already be tbh, the literal goat
@drjdeponytail @Koala yall f*** with Whiskey Myers?
Went to fish with my dad for his bday back in Sept and he was blasting this classic song on the boat
Only casually heard a few songs but he’s cool.
That fishing trip tho

If i had a couple more months im sure Tucker Wetmore would've cracked my top 5 most played artists
I turned her callin me into callin me a mistake
Turned a heart of gold into a heartbreak
If I was her, I'd damn sure hate me
Turned her love into pain and her wine into whiskey
@sace i know you're a film aficionado but would you make a 2020-2024 albums list if I invited you?
I can attempt one.

He's already on mine he's got a masterpiece already (vvitch) and a very good film (lighthouse) and a dud (Northman) but he gets extra points for being contemporary

Northman being classed as a dud is hilarious.
Might be my fav film of his

its definitely not a dud but it something was off about the execution and too familiar about the story
and Nicole Kidmans distracting plastic surgery pulled me out of the experience

two mastapieces and a semi miss
Seeing that 2024 v. 2023 top album comparison is wild. I really played the s*** out of American Heartbreak

The story/writing wasn't anything crazy but literally everything else was perfect.
Hold's up quite well with multiple watches too.

think it was the marketing the trailer made it seem like it was gonna be braveheart so i saw it night 1 with the expectation that eggers had made a $100 million action movie and that turned out to not be the case
i should probably revisit

I couldn't justify giving it anything higher than 3/5 on my second watch
just too predictable unlike this previous films
Skarsgard also not very interesting to me

The end scene with Alex & Claes goes so hard.
First film in ages I watched twice in the cinema within a couple days apart.
Severely overhated film, hopefully you enjoy it more after a rewatch.

Fair enough.
I love Skyrim and similar games and it gave me that kinda vibe, set design and costumes were fantastic. I'll always vouch for that film.

yeah I been an Elder Scrolls stan since Morrowind and Skyrim is definitely for the Nords but that still didnt make it work for me

That's a shame, each to their own then.
I'm no film connoisseur but I'd defiantly say I prefer it over The Witch (also brilliant).
Lighthouse being peak Eggers... until Nosferatu
You fell off
Correction: I took the leap and my life is better because of it
But honestly the only time i get to listen to music is commuting to/from work, so regardless of what artists i listen to, my annual results would likely be lile 4 or 5 artists I listen to wayyyyy more than others haha.
And i still prefer to listen to entire albums too, so that def cooks the books
Except for Zach Bryan. I listened to him almost exclusively last year and i dont regret a thing

I know youre a good ol' boy from down south but I don't remember you talking about country at all before Zack came along lol. Have you ever had a phase like this?

ill chalk it up to the studio interference that comes with such a big budget. hope he learned he can be much more effective with a smaller budget and more control.
