yeah but its never set in the world of the office workers nor is it about marketing

also it was also great not game changing to me

nowhere near my trinity of Peaks/Curb/Sopranos

    Wire not in the trinity

got a half episode in before I decided I didnt give a s*** about returning to Breaking Bad world :keefnah:

we're watching The Penguin and Silo right now and they're pretty good. that Pattinson Batman was super pointless but Penguin is a nice spinoff ngl. I love Colin Farrel ever since he did New World/Miami Vice/In Bruges back to back

This is cool man. Thanks for sharing!

But trust me, you dont have a soul if you dont start choking up near the end when they're in the car.

actually, come to think of it I cried like a b**** watching Koreeda's last film which may have been my first time crying in like 2 years

we'll see about Bridges but I don't see myself crying in front of my dad

    You saw Succession, right?

    @Koala

Nah but it looks like something i'd dig, tbh I haven't watched a new series in a real minute. I still haven't seen Twin Peaks despite having it d/l'ed for years now.

I just been reading in my free time but might have to take a break to jump to a series.

nah idgaf about the white collar setting in the marketing world dat all

Love that series, think I only rewatched it twice but its probably 3rd best/fav behind Wire/Sopranos.

The fashion alone the white collar will grow on you and when it does top tier.

I watched the first half of the series as it came out but then life got too crazy for a bunch of years and I never cared to finish it off. the aesthetic was hard I just didn't relate to a single bit of it or something meanwhile was living The Wire life at the time.

Yea I hear ya, normally that waspy white collar feel wouldn't do it for me either but the characters and the business really grow on you. Masterful at times

I mean "more" in the sense of the range of what each voter has seen/considers top tier. When we do albums, there's always lots of things unique to each person's list, but there's generally a good bit of crossover amongst most submissions.

But with films i feel like the amount of crossover votes has the potential to be much smaller. I know it's not the case for everyone that would vote on films, but i know me and a handful others would have a long list of films to parse through and probably end up with wildly different titles to vote for (meaning lots of films that dont make the list or just clog up the back half of the results with one or two high votes)

Maybe im just assuming its that way more than it actually is. Idk. But for example, just looking at my Letterboxd films and filtering to show the 1970s, sorted by my rating highest to lowest, there are 120 films before i even see my first 4 star rating. That's way more than the number of 70s albums i've rated that highly.

you have 120 five star rating for the 70's alone?

I thought I had alot but looking now its only like 8-12 per decade
