gotta go with armed forces as elvis's best record i think, absolutely amazing album
I dont like that album at all tbh
spent so many years trying to let it sink in that it totally derailed my Elvis discography progress
This Years Model is a major masterpiece and I just got to Imperial Bedroom which actually lived up to they hype
damn condolences  thats a major one
first Dead member to die by (presumably) old age related reasons
didnt get emotional til I put on his opus that hits harder because its about death. and one of those classic rare times when a band member sings/writes one of their best songs but barely ever sings any other

Any specific concerts you’re going back to?
was listening to some stuff from 1974 and 1977, feel like thats when he stands out most in my mind (and also maybe the 2 best years)
like the bass runs at the beginning of this uber classic (and whole way through)

Getting old
don't party much but when we do we only really drink vodka with soda and a citrus twist these days to minimize the hangover. Clean liquor with lots of water and no sugar is the move.
Is there a Letterboxd for music or what
Depends, are you looking for the catalog and archiving aspect or the social media aspect

my dumbass was shotgunning whatever i could find
rateyourmusic, not as cool tho
its better in all ways except interface and tracking activity of friends
actually having good reviews to read because the snappy little one liners aren't allowed like they are on letterboxd
Finally listening to Happiness, the 4AD version, by Lisa Germano. Quite liked Excerpts from a Love Circus and Geek the Girl is one of my favorite albums, so idk what took me so long. This is so, so good. That opening duo floored me. Her sound was there really early in her career.
