Koz 00's run was
Yeah his 90s stuff with RHP was also incredible but the 2000s stuff I find my self playing 10x more tbh. Ambitious to say but for me he's a top 10 songwriter.

Yea broski i've always been more into SKM than RHP but his catalog is impressive on every level. Super talented.

I always loved this song and the humility of Koz and poor Elaine

one of my favorite Koz songs. The dreamlike narrative arc with the key change/modulation to a new tonal center and then resolving back to the original key at the end when we hear Elaine is doing okay.
Some of his best storytelling in a song

Considering the quality of work from RHP debut up until the mid-2010s I think top 10 is a justified opinion.

Top 10 SKM songs ?

Yeah I'm definitely including RHP in that. Songs for a Blue Guitar is my favorite RHP though I know that's a really unpopular opinion. Maybe Down Colorful Hill is objectively their best. The first 4 albums are fantastic and San Geronimo
When people discuss top 10 song writers (Dylan, McCartney, Cohen, Joni), etc. I completely understand why Koz is never mentioned. Glad other people in this thread can see his greatness
may be just a matter of personal taste
@Elric you said you read the 2001 a space odyssey book right?
Yeah in one sitting
Yeah in one sitting

i was thinking of reading and then following up with a rewatch. did you read the book sequel(s) books too?
Yeah in one sitting
It’s crazy to think of that as a book must of been one hellova trip
So many absurd theories about 2001 and Pink Floyd but Echoes really does go well with the final sequence in the film.

Yeah the apes have names
