as i said previouslt, my father is getting an OBE in december. he rented out a pub and is having a large party in london that night. he asked me to make the playlist for the party. he said it needs to be music from his youth (he went to college 79-82). he likes angular post punk (xtc are his favorite band). his favorite artist is bill calahan but thats not really appropriate party music. i am looking to include classic british rock/pop from 70s/80s as well as a bunch of black music from that time too.

this is the playlist im working on. give me recs. trying to keep it to one song per artist (Roxy Music excluded as they are the greatest british band of all time, there will be 10+ roxy songs).
