Yeah don't emulate
if that's what you're doing
Probably takes a bit to get used to. Try picking up Tropical Freeze

mon when that first dropped I was kinda ehh cause im not huge on Korine.. But as the years went by that s*** is a true cult clossic. Never mind it being one of the most accurate depictions of today's youth full of excess lifestyles, perversions, and violence.. Its villain is Gucci Mane, who's taken down by some of best eye candy you can ask for
I feel like today's youth aren't remotely as perverted or violently as older gens

easily
Spring Breakers is moreso a depiction of what today's media wants to feed the youth than actually being about the youth.
I feel The Social Network worked better as a "generation" movie because it showed a reality about how the "cool" generation that was seen as lame before are the tech nerds and how they are the ones that are the alphas now, which I feel is a reality Hollywood didn't want to admit to until Blackhat, which still got panned for being "unrealistic" that Chris Hemsworth could play a hacker by a ton of old ass critics.

Never forgotten a movie quicker than I did Blackhat for whatever reason. Was arguing a while ago that I had never seen it but then my LB review is sitting right there so apparently I have.

It's anecdotal but my generation was 10 times more violent than the kids out partying these days.. and the generation above me was 10 times more violent and racist than we were. There were borderline race wars in my town in the 90s between the indians and whites, shooting at each other and s***. The d*** trade was part of it but still. Everybody hangs out with everybody now and it's chill af.

Im only a few years younger than you so I was caught between that Gen X/Millennial gap. What this generation has is excess in social status and self absorption.

Agreed and that's why I don't Facebook or Instagram or Twitter
They're just self absorption apparatus'
especially now that my circle has gotten more and more tight knit over the years i've abandoned social media almost completely. it was cool when i was a kid to see what all my friends were up to, but even then i was never about taking a ton of selfies and s***. it was also a good way to find chicks.
