nofap is a pseudoscience of course. but I've also heard many stories from people. such as: I opened my computer at 6pm and went to a p*** site, and before I knew it the sun was coming up.

so even though I was half-joking earlier (and I actually even just watched a bit today ) let's not pretend it isn't a serious problem for a lot of young people and hurting their ability to approach/interact with real women

Sucks how difficult it is to watch Louie now. I bought it off his website, but to watch it on my TV I’d need to use AirPlay, but it hasn’t been working lately. Also
I’ve finally started watching It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Can’t believe it’s taken me this long. I hear mixed things about the first season, but I watched it and it was immediately hilarious to me.

The problems that lead people to addictions are significantly deeper than the vices they get attached to. It’s becoming a larger issue due to the mass alienation that’s happening. I also have more concern for the mental health of performers than some random schmuck who can’t stop jerking off to them. A lot of this stuff can be resolved if we readjust how we conceptualize sexuality in the west. Dealing with the alienation problem is more material in nature.

I don't even disagree with anything you just said so I don't have much of a reply. Ideally you deal with the root of the problem but I don't think you can completely separate the two. You can't completely separate the pathology of the gambler who loses his house and family to the gambling itself. Or the major depressive from the opiates he gets hooked on. Or the alienated 26 year old from the p*** he's addicted to, etc. They're both issues in my eyes.
