kinda yeah, wasn't totally serious though
Think you'd get along with my sis (at least on this topic) lol she loves Big Thief and Adrienne
@Elric I also listened to that album Pawn Hearts and it’s much closer to the kind of prog I hate than the Caravan record I listened to last night. You know…masturbatory noodling nonsense with an Englishman shouting non melodic gibberish over it. Somehow it still kinda works for me tho overall. You were right that the track “Man-erg” is a highlight.

I know what you mean, they have a lot of
moments but it often gets balanced out by some jaw dropping beautiful moments right after (as with Man-Erg). I got interested in them after reading a John Lydon interview where he said he didn't hate all prog, and a few bands like Van der Graaf still managed to kick ass. I hear quite a bit of vocal influence on him in them.

Yeah when things slow down on that album and just let the atmosphere and the beauty of the playing sink it—then it becomes pretty damn great. It’s just there’s not enough of it for my taste. They get a really good balance down on that one track in particular.

I keep hoping for more prog adjacent stuff like Epitaph, Melancholy Man, and Alifib/Alife.

Yeah I’m familiar. It’s really interesting. Apparently Neil Young and Jim Morrison also hung out with him around then.
Been jamming these guys a lot lately

Glad @op got packed up
you gotta work on your insults fidelio
Sorry I didn’t call him a slur. Dork is appropriate for people you don’t take seriously. They’re not worth “cunt.”

Too British. S*** like dweeb and dork in some ways cuts harder than meaner words. Like as if they’re just a silly little person that doesn’t matter.
