never realized how different translations of films can be until I watched two different versions of Audition. Tracking down a good translation of a novel is difficult af. so it's disappointing to realize that films can have subpar translations on them.

I mean yeah. I was a bartender for most of my young adult life. Worth it though.

im cutting my drinking to just 1 day a week now instead of 2

eventual goal is not drink at all cuz of how poisonous it is but idk when thatll happen. only really started drinking after college anyway

did 3 months no drinking and never felt better, coming back to it s*** hits you hardd

gonna be blackout at my sisters wedding ofc but felt good to reassess my relationship w it. no longer an every weekend thing

I've been trying to make sure I get drunk at least once a month but it rarely pans out

Yo you dig Scott Walker ? One of those guys who could fly under that "genius" label imo.. I gotta be in the mood for him but definitely an interesting career and talent. Even did a collab with Sunn O, like what a weird combo for an old guy unless he was tuned in

Despite my avy, I’ve been kind of mixed on him for a while. His earlier crooner stuff never fully connected with me a ton outside of a few songs (Duchess for example is one of my all time favorites) and his experimental work I found annoying. However lately I’ve been going through all of it again and both sides of his career are resonating more strongly. I still prefer most of the artists he influenced over him, but my respect for him just keeps growing.
