That's awesome. Love to grams.
Country in a tough spot since it's the only genre that's synonymous with a way of life which has been dying out for a very long time so it's pretty hard to be authentic. It's like if there were gangster rappers in the movie Demolition Man.
!https://youtu.be/zCwb3kj_G3M?si=wcW-neHrAa-6coeNthis is true but its also been a long long time since being a legit hillbilly was necessary to make authentic country. if just being a rural dude making simpler emotional songs is what it takes to be authentic country then there will still be room for plenty of american singers to fit that mold as much as guys like willie and neil did. all im saying is be careful not to pre-judge too much before diving in
wonder if rise could dig this
my preferred zach bryan lissnin vehicle
Nah I could only dig this if I needed motivation for leaping off a bridge, sorry

lot of these nonbelivers would be converted if they saw the live hoedown for this song
like 25 people up on stage all doing random s*** and vibing out while the crowd screams every chorus.

Of course but wheres the cosmic s*** Gram and Gene thought was gonna be the future of country and folk
why every other genre so versatile but country so rarely gets stretched out into some wild experimental s***. Even P-Funk were pulling up with some Jimmie Rodgers s***

ze dog days of zumma 🥲

Man I haven’t had Hamm’s since college
is it as bad as I remember? Been going hard on red ales lately

Country was cool when you were an actual cowboy by campfires and s*** but the internet exists now and they're just corny dudes with cowboy hats.I don't get South culture. All that s*** is weird.

i mean due to being such a traditional genre it was always gonna be a gradual progression and different mixing of all the sounds instead of some lightspeed development and subsequent flaming out like rock
but still some guys like Sturgill Simpson might give you the cosmicness you yearned for

Keep it cold it’s liquid gold

Dwanye, the blonde guy, died after Too Dark Park of a heroin overdose. Everything after that is very different. It's why in a lot of ways TDP is considered the last "good" Skinny Puppy album.

i like the way country fans dress up as cowboys/cowgirls for the concerts. it is corny (especially for an LA concert lol) but endearing
