Yeah we're still good on the coast but a couple of my friends out there got evacuated and for 2 days had no idea if their houses got burned down or not :Ohno: they didn't thank god but it must have been traumatic for the kids

We're getting smoked out pretty bad but I got a good air purifier a few years ago in anticipation of this happening every summer from now on probably. Was at a big BBQ on Saturday pretending everything was fine and so many people asked us when were having kids look around y'all.

This s***head didn't even respond. That's the last time I pray for Canadians.

We had the genius ideas about a century ago to put out every fire every time, when the forest used to go through its own natural cycle of burn and regrowth which would keep the underbrush from building up to a crazy degree.

Couple that with climate change, unnatural heatwaves and s*** (which had Lytton in central BC hotter than anywhere else on earth, and hotter than Africa and South America have ever been) and you got all our forests burning.
