You’ve seen both?
I hope you’re looking forward to Lena Dunham’s Polly Pocket movie.

The entire film is wildly weird and funny. Yes, the preachiness can be intolerable to some but it still works in context of the story. It’s remarkable how well written and edited it is from a comedic standpoint. Greta’s other movies are not funny.

i need to watch this movie again sometime. 2003-2008 was a great time for comedies.

I don’t care about the preachiness. It seems pretty ironic from what I’ve seen and looks to be the kind of movie where you can project whatever politics you have onto it. My issue is with supporting a toy commercial. I’ll maybe check it out when it hits streaming.

You don’t like the TMNT movies then?

I’d honestly extend that to 2001-2013. Freddy Got Fingered - This Is The End. All my years of grade school lol.

TMNT was based on a pretty mature graphic novel. I only really like the first one anyway, but even if that came out today—no one would be talking about it as serious cinema the way they are Barbie.

2008 was like a renaissance for dirty comedy

True, that whole period had bangers. This is the End definitely felt like the end of an era.

I see what you mean. And the new Turtles look terrible.

Appropriately titled film for sure lmao

I don’t know what you could talking about for 1985. Only funny movies I remember are Breakfast Club and Goonies.
