it’s like he did the same sound twice, even tho it was way more polished and refined on LR i like the raw emotion of CD.

TCD seems to focus more so on soul samples which is dope but LR feels like the production is far more ambitious with the live orchestra. Songs like We Major sound so grand, It sounds superior to me.

Plus I feel his rapping is much better on LR.

The stretch from Breathe In Breathe Out to Lil Jimmy lets the album down imo. LR doesn't have a weak moment like that.

yeah the whole Jon Brion orchestra thing is dope, but i just don’t feel like the album set itself apart enough like every one of his albums since has. i think the rapping is good on both

Feel the exact opposite, the whole album just sounds so refined in comparison to his other work, everything from the features to the lyrics and the production is done perfectly. Even the deep cuts like Addiction have so much flavour to them and each track stands out as it’s own.

That’s what happens when you have one of the best discogs ever, so many great albums that everyone will have a different fav.
