Very BasedRust is an iconic character I unfortunately relate to a bit too much haha. But yeah the dynamic between those two was really fun to watch. I really don't watch TV but would love some more sort of philosophical thrillers like that. I use to hate on Lovecraft for a while but have been sort of sucked in lately with his whole Mythology. (partly cuz of TD S1) Been reading a lot of Thomas Ligotti lately. Insanely dark writer but a serious wordsmith and a formidably pessimistic dude.
Definitely a top notch season and yea Ligotti is out there. I read his Songs of a Dead Dreamer a couple years ago, really surreal creepy stuff.

Thomas Ligotti is another author that fits that bill and was a direct influence on TD

I think it was meant to be a mini series but then the show got popular and HBO pushed for more seasons which caused drama and writers block etc. S2 was more pulpy but I didnt like it and I never checked out S3.
