Pumpkins live at Seoul 2000. Probably their best show ever.
The crowd is so sick
Anyone a fan of this band? Really like this whole album, but this song was a highlight. They opened for Radiohead on the OK Computer tour and they kind of feel like an American version of Radiohead.

Been listening to Pablo Honey a lot lately and I really like it

Pablo Honey is underrated. It balances the early Britpop sound of the time with a little grunge and a general R.E.M. style alt-rock flavor. I think it’s a more compelling album than Hail To The Thief from them—which just comes off like a collection of b-sides from their whole career up to that point.
I kinda wanna go back through the Pumpkins discography. Haven’t listened in a long time.

I'd like to get into them a bit more. I admit a lot of it has to do with just finding their fans annoying, but I did have an OK Computer/Kid A phase when I was a teenager.
It's funny cause I remember a lot of drunken bar convos where I'd s*** on Radiohead and whatever band but then I'd mention my love for Elliott Smith and people would be like "...what?"
I don't think they're alike really but there's clearly something there that draws both fanbases together

Myxomatosis was killer when I saw them live back in 2012 but overall I'd agree.
Pablo Honey has Anyone Can Play Guitar, which is a brilliant power pop song (despite the lyrics), Blow Out, You, How Do You, Stop Whispering and of course Creep. The best songs from HTTT don't match with them tbh and the amount of filler is rather similar if not higher on HTTT.

!https://youtu.be/61fUgBoR5Ngyou watched Smallville?
Only know the Smallville opening, which I hold dear to my heart since I loved that show as a kid. Even though it's basically Achtung Baby era U2.
I'll listen to that song.

I didn’t. Are they responsible for the theme?
Edit: My mom used to watch it and I do remember that song. That’s a good tune, but this album is much better.

I never really got the problem with the lyrics for Anyone Can Play Guitar. Sure they’re kinda corny, but they fit the vibe of the song and they’re no cornier than anything on The Blue Album.

Tom’s voice just grates on my nerves

Yeah I guess but I feel like I've listened to whinier
I remember really liking HTTT a lot
Yo is that David Tibet doing back vocals on PJ's Let England Shake ? Clossic album and those horns sound too

I’ve heard this so much, but never really got what people meant by that. I think he has an incredibly beautiful voice. Somewhere between Neil Young and Jeff Buckley.

It’s not bad. It’s just their weakest to me.
im taking hail to the thief over amnesiac, pablo honey, king of limbs. and close to moon shaped pool

Needs way more haymakers to compete with the others
