    Do u have a new wave/post-punk/synthpop playlist?

Considered making it but that's a tough one

I am pretty proud of the evolving collage I made for my Spotify playlists which I was hoping you would appreciate

1962 was his first year without a classic so ill be covering him up next list but definitely bring him back for '69

didnt feel too bad covering up Little Richard in '59 cause he just went religious but covering up Buddy and Eddie felt bad

well Buddy died in '59 and Eddie in '60 so for rock and roll it was Roy, Chuck, Everlys, Fats, Bo and Ricky still going incredible strong up till about '64 then their magic was completely siphoned away to the next generation

planets somehow aligned for Elvis again tho

I meant that the early ‘60s could’ve been theirs if they lived through it. I think they could’ve blended in with surf rock and everyone one better than anyone else

i could see Buddy fitting into the Spector/Brian Wilson lane tbh he was starting to get into studio wizardry when he died

and eddie was such a cool dude i could see him adapting to the hippie/classic rock era with the next generation easily

Everlys and Ricky and Jerry Lee all did respectably well into the later 60s too ngl

    Album is fantastic tbh.

At times a bit of Björk but vocal arrangements and effects that make it sound like a giant choir while actually being few voices drowned in drones. Sort of the claustrophic yet magniloquent vibe of Aviary. His voice, despite sounding old, comes off as grand and sometimes even menacing.

And Cale on a trap beat.

Falters a bit after the AnCo featured track tho.

    Ayy i f***ed with it

Reminds me i gotta get back to @WASHINGTON. Sent him a long message about Blonde when it came out and then he sent one back when he watched it, but that was right when i started my job and everything else went on the backburner

I went back and forth on that movie so many times while watching it. Could not decide if i hated it or loved it, and eventually just gave myself over to that joyride. So much of the film consisted of scenes filled with obvious dialogue and low-hanging fruit metaphor, immediately followed by enigmatic scenes that hint at greater depth.

I think i said this to Washington too: i honestly still dont know if i like or dislike Blonde — but i do know that indecisive feeling stuck with me and made me run the film over in my head for days, which definitely counts for something in my book. I'd love to rewatch it sometime soon tbh

    It's cool fam
