Looking at nme album of the year list (don't ask why) and this layout looks like it was done by @Galaxy if he'd been dropped on his head as a child

It's literally a 60s list which lines up with your immersion. And you only have divert your immersion to creating an album list for like one day to rank albums
70s results were in July
gathering lists is harder than the actual counting/layout making
no replies from @Sir_Swagalot or @Noir regarding 60s lists since the inception of it
I'm on winter break until the 5th so I have lots of time now. I'll serve something up.

Some of them were from other states and just went to California cause that's where the music business was. Half the Byrds for instance.

Was thinking that was the case. Same thing with the hair metal scene in the 1980s, like half those bands were originally from PA, NY, or Jersey.

He's not wrong though California is over represented but that's probably just because they're in more of a general show biz mode over there. A lot more likely to already have connections in the business if you grew up there plus you don't have to make the treck across the country like musicians from the sticks.

What I’ve always found interesting is how the music scene shifted from southern to northern Cal as the ‘60s went on. I guess LA was too “happy” for the counterculture

just a swap and 2 replacements
if i can i wanna switch begin and scott 4’s positions
replace unhalfbricking w Townes van Zandt - S/T
