He can write and surprisingly easy to read, but the mundane could get kinda dull. But that's part of life I guess, its ambitious for sure. His fiction The Morning Star looks good.
Im probably gonna read some more Richard Price after this one

I actually seen only parts of Clockers but the book is way more like The Wire.. Feels heavy, really good police procedural.
Remember the joke Herc made about the bill on the hats, its in the book
Nope, and there's another one dropping in like 4 days. Still have some other books of his I want to finish but it sounds interesting so might check it out. Very different thematically than his other books I hear.
Sounds like both books have baffled quite a few people which makes me more excited to check them out than if they were getting unanimous praise. Will wait until I can get them second hand next year though, ain't paying 30 quid for a couple of books
Notiing can just be "good" or "great" anymore. If something is good, then its a once in a generation experimental masterpiece.
too many at this point
Stevie had a hand in it too
Feel like you don't hear acoustic guitars that prominent in r&b much before or after but Frank utilized it similarly. Impossibly delicate couch for ridiculously delicate vocal.
