that's awesome
Rocksteady, lovers rock, ska
Reggae genre differentiations are boring

I actually retract this, the cultural circumstances and difference in the sounds actually make rocksteady/lovers rock/roots far more useful as genre descriptors than post punk and new wave
this is a top 10 album of the 60s
There was some fire on this ngl. Gf and I both
when the Blondie song came on.
No, I meant which concerts were you the youngest person there
You are right though, I forgot what that was from
Smokey and James Brown probably
Yeah I thought you meant Kendrick, not the new Ken doc
You seen any of it?
Not yet

Are they Neil fans or do they just sound like it
Watched that HBO Bee Gees documentary and it was disappointing. They covered the 60’s stuff but breezed through too much of it. Noel Ghallager popping up to be like “that stuff was almost as good as The Beatles” was a nice moment tho lol.

Still think this was a miracle of pop for 1966 and probably one of the best songs written by a 20 year old band leader

Steve Marriot and Ronnie Lane were still 19-20 in 1967
already wrote a handful of classics together by then

You never knew it was a cover?
