There’s a scope and emotion in jazz entirely missing in most rock music that tries to emulate it. Contrast the Grateful Dead and Talk Talk. But your dust has a limit so I wouldn’t expect you understand. Playing multiple 6 min guitar solos on a 40 min album is annoying to me when Zappa does it. Having decades of sardonic lyrics for s***s and giggles is very annoying. You even trying to make this weak comparison is like saying the last nine minutes of moonchild is jazz. What Frank does is like those Rick Wakeman solo albums more than Mingus.
