Crazy to have to hear s*** like “who cares what some dumb YouTuber thinks” when you get most of your taste in music from an 80 year old pedophile.
It’s all love but watch ya mouth. Let me praise my dang Colin Blunstone records in peace.
Galaxy is going a little HAM but you saying cause I don't like Nick Drake my evaluation is off is a little c***y too @HeyFella
one of the first psych albums I got was O&O (when you were probably in kindergarten or something) Blunstone is in my DNA. Also I love Big Star

Yeah I can get down with alot of pretty, fey folk music but he's the only one that has such an absence of grit he basically sounds like a castrano to me
No. I said that the artist should be reevaluated like Big Star and Nick Drake. That’s not using a description to back up the quality of the record. It’s simply saying it’s in a similar vain to artists who were rediscovered. I used it to say that multiple sources from reviewers to platforms have suggested the potential for a similar rediscovery. That isn’t me using a source to say “this album is good, you should like it more cause they say so”. It’s just me highlighting that the possibility of it gaining a second life isn’t only something I’d thought up.
I would be happy if it found a second life but a reappraisal on the level of Nick and Big Star (who have such distinct style they can clearly be felt as an influence on artists) is not something I can see happening. The Zombies will be legendary and influential forever so it's a non issue.

I apologize to you. I didn’t think you were huge on Big Star either. It doesn’t really matter though because I didn’t mean it in a way to discredit you. Just saying the prediction for what resonates with people in terms of reevaluations like this would be difficult to gauge if you don’t connect with one of the prime examples. Honestly the biggest thing getting in the way of such a thing is the album cover. He looks like such a goofball on it. Give another listen to that track I linked a page or two back. It’s like if My Guitar Gently Weeps erupted into a Peter Gabriel song in the hook. His voice is also just untouchable, especially haunting on that one.

You don’t like folk singer songwriters anyway. You said that like last week.

Not many 70’s singer songwriters have something like this. Always surprised when Elric said he had no grit, that he was too soft. This has a pretty sinister quality to it. Something kind of dark and off putting about it despite how pretty it is.

There’s a reason why every other site I talk music on is significantly more friendly and I will have more productive conversations. Blame your depression again, but it’s just eye rolling c***yness all the time.
youre right i shouldnt let my personal struggles and frustrations bleed into my banter with yall. it is Fam after all. I never intended to come off as a d***, was just disagreeing with the position of the argument. a bit uncalled for but i prob needed to be put in my place
