Oh yeah this is on my list of full discogs to go to
how much have you heard?

Up until Goo I think. I was gonna listen to their 90s stuff for that list but that whole process was a mess and I never did go any farther
70s
I think his 70s is a bit overrated but this very thread voted Blood on the Tracks to #6 in the 70s (a bit egregious, I do agree)
I like Blood on the Tracks (and I probably voted it high just cause I'm not crazy about the 70s in general) but yeah, pales in comparison to his 60s stuff

Yea his 60s peak is one of the best
sonic youth full discography 🤤
Said it once, ill say it again.. Most influential American band to do it
Career spanning 3 decades and really didn't miss many steps. Even when they did they recovered with something solid.

What is it about their music you don't like? They're total jackasses as people so don't use the Nardwaur interview as a reference
The used Won't Get Fooled Again for one of the dogfights in Top Gun Maverick
yikes

I guess their c***iness as people bled into it too but I just find their music really annoying and pretentious. It's like 90s art project 101 s***. Also Kim's voice ain't for me.
I hate them

Damn. Their guitar work is imo some of the best stuff ever imo. And yea Kims voice not for everyone
If their music is 90s art project 101 then they really were truly ahead of their time

Were they not releasing music in the 90s?

I think i listened once? You talking the EP or first LP? Again, I'm really bad for staying complacent with just a few albums for alot of artists
Said it once, I'll say it again: Evol is phenomenal front to back. On par with Metal Box in terms of top tier vibe music.
40 mins of perfection
