Sometimes you get an amazing contrast when you hear a random song against another totally random song you've never heard it beside before too
And my playlists by year give me an amazing sense of what the general state of music was at the time
Totally agree with this. Sometimes it’s even cool to pair albums up like a film double feature.

I’m doing some character study rn and been noticing that, I believe most of PTA’s movies don’t have a clear antagonist that’s against the protagonist (main character) usually his main character is their own enemy.
Boogie nights
Magnolia
There will be blood
Phantom thread
Licorice pizza
PDL sorta has one with Philip Seymour Hoffman even though that’s not the main focal of the story
I can’t remember if Inherent vice had one? And I don’t believe The Master did either, PTA was even questioned about who the true Protagonist of that film is.
