About to start a marathon series of sessions for my next album over the next two weeks and I'm cranking up some really raw live performances today to get inspired:

I've been in other bands and buried that s*** on bandcamp lol there was a stretch of time from 2006-2014 where I recorded 8 albums with two different bands.

This one is under a whole new name and I'm recording it with a bassist friend of mine.

If any of y'all know any drummers, I can pay. Deadass I'm dreading doing that s*** myself but I have my own kit I can play, it's just a lot of extra work

There’s one Journey song I like but it’s only like this one melodic part of it, can’t think of the name though but it’s definitely one of their hits. But yeah Don’t Stop Believing stinks.

Then honestly I’d say seriously give the latest Killers album a try. I promise you it sounds nothing like their older stuff that annoys you. It’s a totally different sound and vibe and production style. It’s closer to what the War On D**** is currently doing than anything.

Any Doors albums besides the first two worth listening to?

Yes. Morrison Hotel is widely regarded as one of their best.

yes, i think LA Woman is the 2nd best one and all the ones before morrison's death are at least worth listening to

even then soft parade is just fine but ppl should at least give it one shot

Waiting for the Sun is an interesting listen. Crossroads between the first 2 albums and Top 40

Looking it up now and the supposed new Final Cut cuts 3 minutes out. I’d just go with the traditional version.

You hate it that bad

I wasn’t that impressed with Another Side of Bob Dylan. It’s probably his vocally weakest album. It’s still a good record and there’s some lovely songs on there but he just sounds so strained and tired. It’s like a neat little transitional album but not much more for me.

He definitely hit some hilarious peak high nasal there but I would say he sounds more resigned than tired because he's sick of his fame and acclaim already. Don't give up it's a tremendous grower.
