I miss multi-disc games tbh. Even if the current disc technology makes the idea obsolete, i'd love to see a 3 or 4 disc PS5 jrpg or something. Like a totally bonkers runtime or something haha. I'd much prefer that instead of the prolonged DLC — or worse: the Peter Jackson treatment — huge projects in the ghave been getting as of late

I know i said this exact same thing years back in the OG Fam thread when i last replayed FFX, but man oh man Blitzball is so underrated/overhated. Undoubtedly my favorite mini-game in the series by a country mile.

Last playthrough i ended up spending just as much time playing blitzball as i did with the rest of the game, and I can tell it wont be any different this time around. Leveling up the best free agents, learning everyone's techniques, and farming the tourney prizes...shit is so satisfying to master. I seriously think a stand-alone blitzball game could be amazing if it were designed right.

It's ok overall. The Zack/Cloud/Seph parts were fine but a lot of it was rehashed stuff from FF7. I hated Zack's mentor and that red idiot that kept reciting poetry.

Yeah i think even the dev team admitted Tetra Master was unfinished or something, and forcing it into story progression in Treno is universally criticized for sure. And it definitely didn't help that it came right after VIII's really fun Triple Triad card game.

Easily the only part of 9 that i'd call bad. Gargant Roo and Fossil Roo (and the underground sewer transport stuff) definitely feel sluggish after your umpteenth playthrough, but nothing sucks as bad as getting your s*** kicked in by a deck Oglop cards that seems to be determined by a coin toss lol

The gameplay was fun for it's time and the story is really stupid but in a dumb funny way so it's still enjoyable

Triple Triad I remember that more than the actual game. Sooo much better than Tetra.

I played it shortly after it released and i barely remember most of the story. I just remember the aiming, gameplay, and the girl character with laser swords (i think?)

There's a part where Vincent turns into a flying demon and says "I guess it's time to save the world" and then you fly into hell and start shooting other demons while jrock plays

He's also voiced by Spike from Cowboy Bebop so that was cool
