yeah, trying to think of other ones but the Doors combination of freaks + darker rebellious side + some mainstream appeal put them in a unique place with that tbh. The Who's personality is a lot harder to pin down than the Doors imo. Kind of like post-Syd Floyd where you're never quite sure who's singing cause Roger has a few different voices and the other guys chip in occasionally. You only need to see you a picture of Jim Morrison and here one Doors hit to totally get what they were about.

just be careful and dont let them fool you into thinking the big band and swing era is 5x more important than anything that came after 1960

I don’t want to argue with you about MCU stuff because I do like a handful of them and our arguments tend to go nowhere. I just think this is an interesting criticism though. I’d like to see it addressed in future films.
