@Elric you should read this
https://unherd.com/2021/06/the-fascist-moment-isnt-coming/
I'll read it tomorrow but the site sounds sketchy
"The site is funded by Paul Marshall, a pro-Brexit investor. He is the chairman of one of Europe’s biggest hedge-fund groups, Marshall Wace, and chair of the Ark chain of academy schools. It aspired to hire 15 full-time journalists and pays writers well, at £1 a word. But three of its directors have resigned since 2017, including Montgomerie himself, who left the site last September without explanation. According to its website, UnHerd employs seven staff."
Im not a huge noise rock guy either. Strangely i think white light/white heat is actually more accessible than its reputation suggests...i dont really find it hard to listen to at all...its got strong tunes. And yea tvu&n is incredible too, waiting for the man is one of my favorite songs oat
The debut is like magical to me. It always feels like I’m going on a journey listening to it starting with the warm and inviting Sunday Morning all the way to the chaotic thunderstorm that is European Son. It goes through so many different sounds and emotions. There’s a perfect flow to it. There’s nothing else like it. The second self titled is just more my cup of tea musically overall but it’s not as interesting and diverse as the debut even though Candy Says is my favorite VU song.

It’s most definitely a conservative writer, but the arguments are solid. I’ll find a better rundown of these points by someone who you think is a more morally respectable messenger.
What about that Elvis album
I’ll absolutely give it a listen for the 60’s list, I’ve been in an Elvis mood.

Debut really stands out like the 2001 monolith amongst 60s albums even if there are some things I personally prefer. It was like the first Art Exhibit rock album that felt like you actually needed to stand up and walk around and look at from different angles to understand.

I bet you'll be a bit like me and appreciate it more now that you're older
every performance on there is truly insane

I mean you’re the one who keeps bringing it up
Idk a thinkpiece written by a conservative with that sort of sketchy backing telling you there's nothing to worry about is sort of like your tumor forming a mouth and telling you that you don't have cancer and everything's fine

Hilarious considering he brings up that very idea in the first paragraph.
