yup plus joined by Danny Kirwan, Mick Fleetwood (sometimes just dancing), Gregg Allman, Butch Trucks and even Berry Oakley switched out for Lesh on bass for a bit. even saw something online saying Arthur Lee joined on percussion (Love was on the bill opening) but Lesh's book didn't mention it so idk

the recording of it isn't exactly sterling though from what i remember, gonna peep some of it again now
Oh yeah I've seen this. Pretty sure it's a Stalanist rewrite and someone just delicately photoshopped it 🧐
Oh I know the lore
dude was the L. Ron Hubbard of jazz
Trip to Saturn
Blount left college because, he claimed, he had a visionary experience as a college student that had a major, long-term influence on him. In 1936 or 1937, in the midst of deep religious concentration, Sun Ra claimed that a bright light appeared around him, and, as he later said:
My whole body changed into something else. I could see through myself. And I went up... I wasn't in human form... I landed on a planet that I identified as Saturn... they teleported me and I was down on a stage with them. They wanted to talk with me. They had one little antenna on each ear. A little antenna over each eye. They talked to me. They told me to stop attending college because there was going to be great trouble in schools... the world was going into complete chaos... I would speak through music, and the world would listen. That's what they told me.
how many of his albums have you peeped?
No.
Yeah Spare Chayne had potential but as is it doesn't quite excite me. Could've been cataclysmic like Cowgirl if Briggs produced it
Grace saved the album

i should check out some 1966, 1967 and 1968 live stuff by them too
Although honestly I'm just as impressed by the math aspect of tallying those lists
Been using essentially the same values since I completely changed how the counting works on the first KTT2 list (2010s). (They were upscaled in the 90s when I allowed more albums in the 90s onwards but the weight stayed the same consistently)
It's something like
2 16th place votes = 1 1st
3 26th place votes = 1 1st
4 36th place votes = ' '
5 46th place votes = ' '
and then chunks of the low votes (51-70 (for those who went higher than 50) are given the same value in 5 groups of 4)
All the albums I’m considering for the 60’s list. Throw any recommendations at me.
