Even saw Artie partying in the background of one scene has to be the same casting director or whatever Sopranos had two years later. A few Wire actors too.

Also was getting orc vibes from the final credits music and indeed it's the guy that did LOTR's score Howard Shore, insane list of classics for Marty, Cronenberg etc

The Gift isn’t that bad on White Light/White Heat. At least the backing instrumental is pleasant rather than ear piercing noise. I just don’t give a f*** about what’s being said.

that's strange, I changed #22 to a different album entirely and it reverted back to ziggy stardust. I don't even remember what album I switched it for..

    Listen to “Booker T.”
It’s the first version of the instrumental

Joni Mitchell’s later stuff after Blue is good but doesn’t do much for me. Feel like she’s too lyrics focused. Like she’s writing words first and coming up with structure and melody after.

I disagree. Her songwriting post-Blue is totally inimitable. I love the dissonance and the idiosyncratic chord sequences. It's good because it's original, never heard anyone replicate it. Kinda jazz influenced too. Yeah I don't listen to music for lyrics anyway.

Hejira is good, it made my list, I just think her writing process seems to be in reverse from what I’d prefer from her. I haven’t given it as much time as her earlier stuff though so it’s due for a good marinating as Elric says.
