rvihow many of his 60s albums do you think are gonna make your list?
I've only heard 3 of them so I don't know. Def Tijuana Moods as well even though it was recorded in the 50s.

Oh Yeah, Mingus at Antibes, Mingus Dynasty, all fire too
and Money Jungle which semi-counts even tho its more of an Ellington led albumrealizing that Mingus at Antibes won't count since it was recorded in 1960 but not released until the 70s but still def. worth hearing

That’s the thing. I love albums with jazz influences but rarely do I fully content with a whole jazz record itself.

there were a handful of amazing (early) 70s jazz albums i heard in the past few months that probably would end up making my list if they had a few more months/years to really sink in

Yea the thing is I dont wanna force a bunch of jazz on my list just cause I'm listening to a bunch in the moment, but as always I'll be providing a few months for the list making so I'll def have a few more on my list than usual
