I was giving Bizzle s*** for not seeing much classic Brit film.. thoughts on Mike Leigh? The classic Angry Young Man genre in the late 50s and 60s with yung goats like Albert Finney and Richard Harris going ham? The Archers :worship:
I’m terrible with films
I’ve only recently been watching more films but I liked Life Is Sweet.
If you have any recs send them my way :)
one of the most important albums of my music listening career
Wow, that’s dope to hear man.
All Falls Down was the first ye song I heard so TCD holds a special place in my heart. ❤️

i used to listen to only electronic music until like ~junior year high school, then I became a Ye stan. for like a year literally all I listened to was Kanye and Outkast.
my friend who got me into Kanye showed me KTT
dont think hes on it anymore though

Shoutout to that guy, can’t go wrong with either. Both have arguably the best discogs in hip hop.

Life Is Sweet is f***ing amazing lol but if I had a top 3 it would be:
Matter of Life and Death (shares the honor with Seventh Seal for inspiring towering masterpiece Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey)
Secrets & Lies (most devastating/cathartic film experience)
Great Expectations (David Lean doing D***ens low-key even better than Lawrence of Arabia)
Hm to the top 3 ex pats that made mastapieces there:
Problematic Polanski at his peak made Repulsion and Macbeth there and they are stunning
Gilliam finally came through with Brazil and Munchausen after a bunch of annoying Monty Python films
Children Of Men

ill never forget when the music video came on and i dropped everything at work to be like
came right at the perfect time where i was getting sick of all the rappers i had grown up listening to (except Outkast whom little did i know were petering out in real time). had strictly been listening to rock for a couple years buy CD brought me back
life changer

People have so many memories when it comes to this album.
Remember when The New Workout Plan video dropped? I felt like that was a game changer for music videos. The song too actually, was so unique at the time.
Thank you!!!
also any of Hitchcocks thrillers from the mid-late 30's before he left to the states

The 39 Steps is the only one I’ve seen from that decade, he has a long list of films I need to get to.

New Workout Plan is unjustly hated on... one of my fav from Kanye's whole discography

It’s top 5 on TCD & in my top 20 Kanye songs, his personality shines on that track and I love the production. The violins and when the beat switches.

Honestly wish Kanye still worked with Miri Ben Ari on occasion. A few of his best tracks feature her, but I get he's always tryna do something different sonically

oasis is cool but its insane to me that you place them up with beatles, stones, sabbath, joy div, etc.
& does that mean Oasis debut is better than every Brit psych rock album ever?
