Neverending Story was filmed in Vancouver the streets and alleys they chase the kid down are so familiar

Were they not? I recall at least a few shots being genuine NYC.

Those 2 movies have crazy nostalgia for me and I still think Ninja Turtles is some of the coolest s*** ever.

I think the beginning montages and aerial shots were in NY, but the bulk of the movies were filmed in North Carolina

It's not an album I listen to very often but each time it definitely leaves quite the impression aka utterly devastates me. Irrlicht might be the most angst-filled thing I've ever heard and I'm glad Schulze toned it down a bit with Cyborg already so I can listen to his music more casually. Then again, this thing is pretty singular to me.

did anyone ever make a sci-fi movie that is set in the present but told as if it were made in the past? Like, a film that is playing in 2022 but is stylistically (framing, sets, acting etc.) made like a film from the 80s, 70s, 50s or 60s with all the focus on technology and other stereotypes that Sci-Fi movies often have. I watched Akira yesterday (and started Blade Runner but I had to sleep) and both were set in 2019 so that thought came to mind.
