I was looking over my itunes library the other day and noticed I owned Ys and The Milk Eyed Mender

I remember drunkenly buying those in an argument with you years ago

Zappa's lead vocalists were pretty decent and his own voice is fine. Garcia is usually decent but yeah the other Dead vocals can get rough as hell sometimes in those live recordings but its usually on the little throwaway songs or extended outro type things anyway

never rendered an otherwise great song nearly unlistenable to me like a few of the zeppelin songs. i agree hes good on songs like Rain Song, Ten Years Gone, Stairway to Heaven though

besides Flo and Eddie for Zappa but that barely even counts as singing and crosses over into audio terrorism when they do the "comedy" stuff
