lmfaooooo anybody who heard the context he says it in and is still mad at him for saying it is a f***in moron. that song is really good and has some of the best themes on the album
From what I've heard so far, that song is one of my favs
It’s kinda wild the end of that song is him being like if we change socially enough we can get over being bothered by slurs. He literally says I should let the white girl have said the n word lol

The story he tells is very sweet. Reminds me of stuff on Section 80.
Also I really can’t gauge the politics I hear people talking about in the Kendrick album. One song he’ll mock cancel culture and defend free speech, then he’ll be like I have to confront how I objectify women. Maybe he’s not NPR lecturing and he just has his own views like average people.
this is the only album of his i haven’t felt like he was actually preaching to me at all while listening. feel like he humanizes himself in a wayyyy more relatable way than he ever has on here, plus he’s at his most self aware and comedic.

Never really clicked with s80 personally.

Yeah his views are all over the place which is humanizing. He’s just a guy thinking about a bunch of different things and trying to articulate his personal feelings. It never goes in one narrow direction.
only poor for kendrick standards since their dumbasses are about to give him the #1 album of all time
for anyone else a brand new album with a 3.5 and thousands of ratings means the reception is good
That RYM top 10 makes my heart hurt
The TPAB 2pac skit still one of the corniest things to ever happen in music
It was honestly really cool the first time, but it works as a one time gimmick.

i still hate him for that one lmfao
Someone called Kendrick just NPR rap for ashamed white people. It’s hard not to see their point but I’m still looking forward to listening when I have the time to throw it on in the car.
I mean what exactly is NPR Rap
the genre has p much been white washed but its not like Kendrick is intentionally catering to that audience. Its more like the NPR Rap scene has clung to Kendrick for a "black experience"
If there was a Thugger feature on the tracklist then i might actually want to listen

Like the time he gave "blessing to Paul McCartney" and one bar later said "this is not for the fan of Elvis"

I’m just pissed it’s not a separate track cause Mortal Man is anazing
i still hate him for that one lmfao
He wanted to call the album “2 Pimp A Caterpillar”
thank god someone stopped him

Yeah he’s in his dry humor zone fr

Chris Walken as the Emperor in 2une
I think TPAB still has much higher highs but this is his best record since GKMC.
