It’s honestly a bit of both. There’s similar humor to Lighthouse but when things get intense it’s definitely closer to the VVitch. Probably his most brutal and relentless film despite it being relatively more accessible due to its straightforward narrative structure and genre. Not enough d***s and b**** though lol

Wasnt crazy about the Lighthouse. The visuals and vibe of it were but then most of the movie was just Willem Dafoe and Pattinson yelling at each other. Didnt feel much of anything by the end. The mermaid was hot though.
