I dont personally have a twitter and anyone I do follow is taken lightly but considering how effective social media is in today's time it was due for an overhaul. Its hilarious to see people ready to commit twitter suicide because Elon bought it. Like it was in a good spot all this time

Musk is a greedy narcissistic bozo but it’s hilarious these people are suggesting he’s any different than the previous owners or billionaires who own other platforms and media. I mean for Christ sakes a Saudi Prince who ordered the beheadings of people used to have a lot of stake in twitter. Jeff Bezos even bought the Washington Post recently. This isn’t new. The extra hate for Musk specifically is weird. I imagine not much is gonna change with twitter but if he commits to what his promises are for it I can’t imagine it being any worse.

Yeah the extra hate for him is mostly down to how much of a household name he is I think. If he didn't have a weird cult following and wasn't constantly in the news for making dumb memes and cars that blow up nobody would give a f***.

The thing that bothers me about it is that anyone is able to spend $44 billion on anything. That's f***ed man
