But the Spice Girl mania didn't really last too long in the US, I think NSync and Backstreet were starting to take over

Dude the most popular UK moments of the 90's were Spice Girls and Austin Powers

I remember wonderwall was already so played out I was rolling my eyes when it came on at school dances in like 1997

Dojas alright.i keep expecting her to be amazing off how cool she looks. pretty good cadence later in the song.

She’s thinking about releasing a double album: one side pop rap, the other side straight hip-hop. That might be what you’re looking for.

Also I wouldn’t say this is “amazing” but it carries on Nicki’s legacy perfectly

Spice Girl mania was just wannabe and the movie, right? Cause Britney and Destiny’s Child came out soon after and expanded on that sound

It was just one of those 'flash in the pan' moments, other than that one album I dont think people were really listening to them anymore. At least from what I remember. But the mania was huge, the merch was everywhere, non stop radio play, and a f***ing movie haha.
