Just had another Doors phase recently. Awesome band.
Manzarek has always been one of my idols on the keys.
When I was a teen I bought a fake Doors shirt in Bosnia. Sad thing is that shirt was of poor quality so it's useless these days.
s/t and Strange Days are def up there with the best albums of the 60s
Idk if it’s mentioned much but both those albums sound incredible too. The production on the debut especially is perfect for the vibe and late night atmosphere they were trying to create

I find it funny tho that despite it's title Moonlight Drive actually gives me that vibe the least out of all the songs on the first two albums

Jan 28, 2022Honestly In The Court of The Crimson King is probably my favorite 60’s album outside of Pet Sounds. Trout Mask Replica, Blond On Blonde, Odyssey & Oracle, Forever Changes, and Velvet Underground & Nico all go hard but nothing sounds like Court. Epitaph is like the song of life. Ancient and futuristic at the same time.
